In this episode, we invite our old friend Lu Dapeng to share his newly published "pamphlet," Montage of Endangered Cities in World War II, a collection of travel essays centered on his years of visiting World War II-related historical sites across Europe. Dapeng will take us from the Zhonghua Gate in Nanjing to Gdańsk in Poland, from Arnhem in the Netherlands, the Villa Wannsee in Germany, and the Berlin Bunker, to the War Cabinet in London, UK, and even across the ocean to Volgograd in Russia, allowing us to experience those historical sites that are both beautiful and heavy with history.
